Good News!

Tuesday August 3rd -Were over this past weekend and did real good with the big sea mullets
and one big pompano using sand fleas. We had so many we gave a bunch away.
Several other parties caught sea mullets, blues, pompano and spots, but
didn’t here anything about drum.

Thursday June 24th – Not too good! Not much else to say. It’s so hot you can’t breathe. A front
is predicted to move through Friday. Maybe that will help.

SLOW! Very few fish and many green heads.

Monday – June 14th SLOW! Very few fish and many green heads. There are plenty of sharks, few
sea mullets, a keeper flounder and a drum every once in a while. Wish I had
a better report. Hope things improve soon.

Drum, sheepshead, croakers, flounder and a few sea mullets.

Monday June 7th – The fishing was not good up to Saturday, but Sunday was a better day. Drum,
sheepshead, croakers, flounder and a few sea mullets. The sharks are still
here too. The weather was beautiful and everyone said they had a great
weekend. Today, the temperatures are cooler with the winds from NW at 10.
Hopefully the fishing will pick up.

Monday May 24th – Fishing has been slow. They are catching some sea mullets, croakers, sharks
and skates. I was over for the day on Saturday. The weather and water was
beautiful. There was a lot of fishing but not much catching.

Sea Mullets & Keeper Flounder!!

Thursday May 6th – This week we have been battling winds and low tides. They are still catching puppy drum and black drum. The sea mullets (whiting) are hitting good between mile markers 32 to 39 and larger keeper flounder are showing up. Unfortunately, the sharks and skates are there too.

Wednesday April 28 – Still catching drum, black drum, blues, sea mullets, and a few stripers north at the buoy. Some flounder have showed up, but only a few keepers and of course the sharks are still here.
The winds have been tough this week…SW 20-30, but the front moved through last night and winds are from the N. Looking like a good weekend.

Thick Toads, Sea Mullet…

Wednesday, April 21st. Toads were thick at the Lighthouse dock and Coast Guard dock but are falling off a little. Catching slot drum and black drum at the buoy on the north end of island. Sea mullets were caught at mile markers 37, 38, 39 and puppy drum, black drum and blues at the South end. Last week a young boy caught a 12 lb, 4 oz sheepshead. Fishing has been good but have had to contend with the wind at times.
